What does it mean to be franchise ready?

The franchise business is a SEPARATE business from your current business model. Your current business is offering a product or service such as a home service directly to a consumer. The franchise business grants the rights of your successful business concept to other business owners who will offer those products/services to the end consumer.

The franchise business is about EDUCATING and TEACHING OTHERS how to operate the business. It requires its own business plan and resources to be successful.

There are four main pillars to be franchise ready:

Identifying the franchise model including initial franchise fee, royalty, territory size and other key commercial terms

Preparation of the Franchise Disclosure Document, Financial Audits, Franchise Agreement and various state registrations

Assembly of adequate documentation and training manuals to be able to teach

Developing a marketing plan to market your franchise to obtain new franchises who are interested in joining and having compelling marketing collateral and a streamlined sales process to award new franchisees
